Deadly weapons of war
A while back I suggested we drop Bono on Moscow to force them to surrender.
Ted Treen replied to this saying “‘Cruel & unusual punishment’ – in spades!“. He’s right. It would probably constitute a war crime.
Strangely though it seems Bono or someone reads my little words of wisdom as shortly after, he did indeed involve himself but as usual he made a hames of it.
You have to understand that Bono has an ego bigger than Uranus [or even his own anus for that matter]. He decided that what the people of Ukraine deserved was an visit from His Magnificence and that they should be punished with treated to a wee “concert“. Haven’t they suffered enough?
Can you imagine? Bombs and missiles are falling on your city and the very fabric of your lives is being torn asunder so you take shelter in an underground bunker in fear for your very existence. And then Bono appears and sings at you? Can life get any worse? There is no escape. What have you done to deserve this?
Personally, I’d take my chances with the bombs and missiles.
Just the threat of a poem should be enough to get Ukraine to surrender.
