Test Card Time
It has really been one of those days, and it’s not over yet.
So far today I have done three three loads through the washing machine and have now run out of drying space, a load of washing up, a lot of tidying and bed making and a run to the school to collect a grandkid.
Us housewives never get a break, you know?
On top of all that this site is acting up.
I haven’t a fucking clue what’s up with it but have deduced that it’s not my ‘puter, my browser or even the site itself, as there are a couple of my sites affected and can only assume that the servers have sprung a leak.
I keep getting messages that my “Resource Limit Is Reached”.
Now maybe they are talking about me? Certainly I am reaching the limit of my resources and need to sit down for a while but how would the servers know that? Have I unknowingly become part of “The Internet of Things”?
Anyways I have dispatched a grease monkey down to the cellar where I keep the servers and have told him he can only come up for food [or whatever] when the problem is fixed.

Nothing to talk about as “Resource limit is reached”. At least, that’s the message I got in the afternoon. Now it seems to accept my idiotic comment about nothing at all 😉
I had this problem on one of my sites a while ago. The ISP simply said upgrade your package and I did but it didn’t help. In my case it was the number of processes and if too many people hit the site at once it starts up some new processes. Once it hits your limit you get this message instead of simply queueing them.Cure is to optimise your site to free the processes quicker, difficult one that, or buy more resources. Expensive for what may only happen a couple of times a day although I lost 90% of my visitors while my ISP failed to identify the issues. Took a new ISP to tell me what the problems were.
