Our little country is going through a bit of a change at the moment. People are actually enjoying themselves despite some very confusing advice. We are told that fresh air is great for us, but as soon as we go out to enjoy a bit of rare sunshine we’re told we’re bad, photographs appear on the Interweb and Twitter lights up telling us we are all selfish bastards and are killing people. The councils’ solution to this outdoor business is to cordon off bits of cities so we can’t enjoy the fresh air. The crowds just move somewhere else and the council has to fence that place too. By the end of summer there’ll be more fencing in Dublin than shops.
There was a bit of a row about all us filthy proletariat dirtying up the streets and pissing in shop doorways and Dublin Council said they wouldn’t install extra toilets and litter bins because they would only attract more people. “Put your coat on Mary! We’re going into Dublin to see all those new toilets and bins!” Strange logic?
Naturally all this sunshine and happiness is too much for old MiseryGuts who once again strays into meteorology and astronomy –

I presume he means the Indian variant but that aside, I can assure him that the cloud is caused by the current low atmospheric pressure but that is predicted to rise shortly thereby banishing those clouds. He worries much too much.
One little quote has me a little concerned –

This is welcomed news. I can now skip "masking up" before opening the site. It was getting to be a bit of a pain having to cut a hole in the mask for a pipe bit to fit through.
Indian variant is now the Kappa variant. The UK one, which came from Spain, is the Alpha variant. Like anyone gives a monkeys re the WHO classification when we can stereotype whole subcontinent.
I'm thinking that as long as there is money to be made from this; the number of variants will be without end.
