I see today is No Smoking Day [says he, lighting up his pipe].

I knew it was coming as ASH have been wildly and excitedly tweeting about it for the last week or two. “Only three more days to No Smoking Day” or whatever, like anyone gives a shite apart from themselves.

My ‘Puter problem is solved. It now switches on and reboots perfectly every time. That is down to KirkM who found the answer. He’s a fucking genius. I’m going to spend the rest of today just rebooting.

I have been mucking around with the text on this screen. I have made it a bit bigger. I was finding it hard to read my own shit.

There is some sad news. It looks like Nisakiman’s site has disappeared. I think his missus was looking after the domain and she has probably let it lapse. There’s little I can do about that, but at least I have archives of his site. But of course, no one can see them except me.

Some of you have noticed the wee stars that have appeared at the end of each scribble? It’s just a little experiment that I’m running. The experiment would have been a lot more successful if I had installed them at the very start so the only answer is for everyone to go back and read [and star] every post since the beginning. There are less than 4,900 posts so it shouldn’t take too long? The site itself reckons there is around 115 hours of reading so with a 40 hour week it will only take three weeks of your time.

That’s not too much to ask?
