The Guardian Angle
There is a bit of a spat going on in the UK at the moment.
The Guardian today published an article entitled âPro-smoking activists threaten and harass health campaignersâ.
Iâm not going to bother defending the people involved as they are well capable of doing so themselves, here, here, here and here.
Essentially the whole thing is a clatter of mis-quotes, quotes taken so far out of context as to be laughable and a pack of lies. Even better, the Tobacco Control mob who are complaining are precisely the same who have never hesitated to promote and encourage their own form of apartheid against smokers.
There is one item I spotted though that really got my dander up.
There is mention of a new website set up by Bath University to try to counterclaim some of the arguments put forward by those of us who arenât blinded by the Nanny State and Tobacco Control.
I had a snoop around this site and found a list of pro-smoker sites. Brilliant! I have a whole clatter of new sites to follow, and they even provide the links, which is very decent of them.
What pisses me off though is that there is no mention of my good self.
Why?
Am I not good enough for them?
I am hurt.
for the love of god i cannot figure out how to submit your blog…i’ve tried really
Damn! Nobody loves me……….
What I find interesting is that almost any article written on an antismoking site, invariably has no comment section. Shows that they are worried that real people may decide to have their say.
Filthy – I have also noticed on several occasions the comments that do appear on sites that allow ’em [mostly newspapers] tend to be quite predominantly anti-Nanny?Â
