  1. tt – Rosslare.  Where else?

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I was in Domme again for the afternoon.

  2. ” ‘allo, ‘allo !” Listen carefully as I shall only say this once. Tomorrow at noon go to the cafe at 7 Rue Verdun and ask for Rene. He will take you to the hen house where thy have been hiding two British airmemn since 1943. Tell them the war is over and they can return home.

  3. tt – Whydo you want to know the port?  Planning on alerting Customs?

[I just phoned Rene, and the two lads died of old age a few years ago.  Shit happens!]

  4. No, I just wondered if you took the same road route to The Dordogne as I did all those years ago. Have a safe journey home. Don’t forget Herself !

  5. tt – Fair ’nuff.

Route down: Home – Rosslare – Roscoff – Poitiers – Sarlat.

Return route: Sarlat – Poitiers – Tours – Caen – Cherbourg – Rosslare – Home.

As you can see, it takes us a hell of a lot longer to get home, but that because it’s uphill all the way.  If you look at a globe of the World, you’ll see what I mean.

  6. Tours is nice.  You might get there and decide to turn back.
I have a long held ambition of driving up to a French port and thinking, ‘I can’t be arsed to go back’ and turning the car around and heading south again.

  7. Ian – You have no idea how much willpower I will need, to drive the car onto that ferry.  The temptation to turn and run will be massive.

  8. Brighid – I can slag off Ireland from here.  They can’t stop me either.  😈

SHoop – Does that mean I can stay?  Please?

  9. No problem. John O’Donoghue has nominated you as proxy for his fact-finding mission as his flight from Vegas has been delayed.
