Political shenanigans
Well, that’s a bit of a turnip for the books?
Who would have thunk that Carrot Man could pull it off? But then America is full of surprises.
I’m not exactly a paid up member of the Trump Appreciation Society but then I didn’t have much time for Harris either. Maybe I’m biassed against any politician called Harris but you can blame our Simple Simon for that.
Frankly I couldn’t really care less who runs America but at least having Trump ensconced in the White House should liven things up a bit. In fact I would go so far as to say that anything that upsets the old apple cart is a good thing. Americans have spoken and I respect that even if I haven’t a clue how their election process works.
One aspect of the whole circus that amuses me is the reaction of the various leaders to the news. For some time now we have been hearing all the pronouncements that electing Trump would be a disaster for various countries around the world, but now that the result has been announced those same leaders are queuing at the gates to congratulate Trump and how they are all looking forward to wonderful relationships across the Atlantic. It must be hard swallowing all those bitter pills?
Unfortunately the media frenzy has somewhat obscured a little gem from our own Lords and Masters.
Yes, politics can be interesting.
Well; you can’t see it of course but I for one am grinning from ear to ear.
Of course I can see it. It shines through your typing.
Does all that fine debate get transcribed in the Gaelic for the official record?
It could be an exised text from Puckoon. Too unbelievable.
I thought exactly the same, Doons!
Spike Milligan would have loved that!
Jeez! They should have installed a boxing ring outside the Dail instead of the bike rack you mentioned a while ago. People might have accepted the cost of it more easily if they got to see two ejits like those two fighting it out. The rules should be that the fight doesn’t end until a knockout, or at least until one of them cries for his mammy. 🙂
…….we need one of those rings at Stormont too.
RTE could televise that on a pay-per-view basis. It would make a fortune and certainly solve RTE’s financial woes.
