The fall of the blind man — 2 Comments

  1. What a grand room that is for light and views of the garden!
I’d have put my chair exactly where you have.
Did the tv survive? I think that nowadays it’s no great loss! I’ve grown to like, of a late evening, sitting with a book and listening to something quiet on the stereo – whiskey and ice in hand…

    • It’s a lovely spot all right. A three-quarters circle, 12 feet in diameter [I know the details as my father designed it and the two of us built it back in the ’69s].

I haven’t checked the television since. It’s not the one we normally use and frankly it wouldn’t bother me if it is dead. Like yourself, I’m not a fan of television and that set was just there so I could play around with satellite channels. I have a Freesat box which is an eye opener. I didn’t realise just how many satellites there are up there!

I do watch in the evenings with Herself as she likes it and the newer television is in her room. I still neck the whiskey though.
