A new threat
I received a threatening email the other day.
I’m sure most of us are familiar with the old version where they have “taken control” of our emails, computers and video cameras. They threaten to send compromising videos of us all frantically tossing the caber while watching dubious material. I have received many dozens of these but am still waiting for my friends to phone and compliment me on my manhood.
The new threat is a really scary one though.
This one doesn’t claim to have hacked my system. It doesn’t claim to have any videos or anything like that. This one is much worse.
Everyday You recive my mails.
Spam or Inbox.
I want Give choice, If you don’t want reciveved my Spam mail.
Send me little payment to my bit c(0)in.
$100$ with the current (BTC) price.
My adress is:
1JdLJwYWuNumKwTSJqXLTTwDzbS7E4QbyH
And answer to this mail.
Automatic software unsubscribing your mail and delete forever.
Isn’t that terrifying? The spelling alone is giving me nightmares.
What really concerns me though is the thought of one extra spam email a day amongst all the others I receive [recive?]. All that extra work? Having to delete one extra mail? Frankly I’m not sure my nerves could stand it.
I confess I forget to send the ransom money. I haven’t a clue about bitcoin anyway so it would be a little tricky. I have been waiting in trembling fear for that extra mail to arrive each day.
I never heard any more from him. No mails. No threats.
I feel cheated.
Ah, the anti-Twilight Zone of spam mail? (We have taken control of, well, absolutely nothing so pay me?)
It's almost as frightening as the Spanish Inquisition on Monty Python!
But nobody expects the Bitcoin Acquisition.
If they're not sufficiently tech-savvy to use Google Translate to produce a reasonable facsimile of English from whatever heathen tongue they grew up with, they can't expect to be taken seriously. Eejits!
He's not making much money out of it $1.00 deposited on 4/4 and nothing since.
I think there may be a flaw or two in his business plan?
