Anna Raccoon is very popular
I look after quite a few sites.
They range from garbage like this one through to an e-commerce one, and include such notaries as Nisakiman and Anna Raccoon. Part of the process is that I receive a lot of notifications containing warnings just plain statistics. One such batch I get is a weekly report on the number of attempts to hack a site.
To give you an idea, this site foiled 53 attacks in the last week, 26 the week before and 2 the week before that. I am apparently growing in popularity.
However I pale into insignificance compared to The Anna Raccoon Archives – 6938 this week, 7005 the week before and 3091 the week before that.
Good old Anna! Apparently still pissing off people around the place and as popular as ever.
P.S. Do I really need to add that none got through the defences?

I miss the Raccoon, never afraid to piss on the conventional view no matter (the Duncroft/Savile posts were just fantastic), they don’t make ’em like that any more, and more’s the pity.
You’re not alone in missing her incisive analysis and pomposity puncturing, a sad loss to the blogosphere – but full marks to Grandad for preserving her literary legacy.
Proof that if you’re getting flak, you’re over the right target. Even if the autopilot’s on.
Nicely put. Some of the sites are in the low hundreds all right but nothing is even close to touching Anna’s place.
