Democracy in action
Isn't democracy wonderful?
In Portugal you can now vote for any party, provided the party is pro-EU.
What next, I wonder?
Sure we might as well go down the road of just a one party state? It would make voting a lot simpler.
But then who needs democracy anyway?
Democracy must take second place to the higher imperative of euro rules and membership.
Wir müssen gehorchen. Ja?
Merkel and her cronies in Brussels must be pissing their knickers laughing.
Long live the Fourth Reich.
Sieg Heil.
As Lord Fondlebottom of Hartlepool said, 'welcome to the post-democratic age'.
I think we entered that some time ago. We had small hints such as Ireland's repeat referendums, but at least they are being open about it now.
we just got a new prime minister, he worked as a drama teacher and is the son of the prime minister that ran Canada into the red when he was in office…wee. at least he's good looking and charming, i've been give the shaft by them before.
At least you know what to expect?
