I could do with some good news
Yesterday was a bummer.
For the last week or more I have been having trouble sleeping. I am either walking the boards at three or four in the morning, or if I do get to sleep early I am waking at five or six. So I have gradually been building of a nice little deficit of sleep which has been leaving me utterly fucked in the head.
Yesterday I hardly knew what I was doing. I tried dozing in the armchair [grabbed about half an hour before waking with a stiff neck], but I was fuck all use for anything else. But I had to visit Herself as she wanted a pile of stuff including a radio and headphones.
I packed a bag. I discovered that radios can be quite weighty. I hit the road. Traffic was a nightmare! I have no idea why two on a Tuesday afternoon should be so busy but busy it was, Very busy. However I just managed to get to the hospital without causing any major pile-ups. I found parking and then lugged the heavy bag of stuff the three miles to the ward [it’s not quite three miles, but it feels like it.].
Herself had decided she didn’t want the radio after all, and could I please bring it home again.
No sooner had I sat down when the real pain started. There is a normal level of pain in the face area which I am sort of used to but occasionally I get a bout where it feels like someone is driving steel spikes into my face. These bouts usually last a couple of minutes before easing off again. I then realised I had forgotten to take my pain-killers before leaving home. Bollox! To make matters worse, I went through several bouts of this phenomenon in waves. All I could do was sweat it out. Herself finally took pity on me and told me to go home. I had to lug the fucking radio back to the car again!
But the traffic was worse! Where the blind fuck were they all coming from or going to? It was now four o’clock so things normally aren’t too bad but this was worse than the rush hour. Luckily my sat nav somehow knew about the state of things so I was directed on a new route. It took me up the Dublin Mountains before landing me into Wicklow on the very narrow very twisty back roads. A half hour journey took an hour and a half.
I took a strong pain killer and relaxed.
Later Herself phoned to say she is possibly being released [on parole] on Friday.
Things are looking up.
Sounds like a truly crap day.
Can you not set up an alarm system to remind you to take the medication? Otherwise you will forget due to your caring and pet owning responsabilities
And leave some pills in the car
Good luck
