The mystery continues
There has been a remarkable lack of news here at The Manor.
This is what happens when each day is much the same as the day before, or indeed the day after. The only exciting event is that I have just completed the week’s shopping online [be still, my beating heart]. Over €250 just for the two of us and the dog, with maybe a nod to the fact that Easter is on the way and I suppose the Grandkids will expect some consideration. Inflation is a bitch?
The big mystery though is the Chinese. I have mentioned the strange phenomenon of the number of visits from China? Well, that continues. So much so that at the time of scribbling they are by far the most prolific readers beating the UK well into second place.
The thought did cross my mind that it was just some kind of Chinese Wayback machine scraping the site, but the visitors are from all over the shop. I have verified a sample and they are genuine Chinese. Why? Why the sudden interest? Well, maybe not so sudden as it has been happening for weeks now. Have I been added to some officially sanctioned directory as a sample of true life in li’l ol’ Ireland? Am I now on the school syllabus as a lesson on how to write proper? Has someone discovered a chink in the Great Wall [howzat for a xenophobic pun 😈 ]?
I would really like to know what’s causing this influx. It is very strange.
In the meantime, I shall rest, for omorrow is an exciting fun-filled day.
Grocery Delivery Day!.
I thought the mystery was the straying watch strap.
Your life is full of mystery.
Maybe a rich Chinese will send you a strap. They are all made there.
My life is indeed full of little mysteries. It adds a bit of spice to the mundane.
Perhaps Google.cn has picked up some of your suggestive references!
Suggestive? How dare you. This site is as clean as a fucking whistle, suitable for any child.
Face it Grandad, you’re just an international star. 🙂
As the UK is a different nation to here I already assumed that, but why China? It doesn’t make any sense.
Incidentally, a note to everyone else… Ian isn’t the same Ian as the previous Ian. He’s a different Ian altogether. I certainly seem to be a star amongst Ians?
Just as a little footnote:
The UK finally overtook China yesterday in the readership stakes. The final score was UK at 40% and China at 36%. Ireland was in third spot at 6%. Philistines!
