A royal dose of guilt
I may have mentioned in passing that I had subscribed to Netflix?
Choice of programmes is somewhat problematic. Herself is the main decision maker as frankly I’m not a great fan of the television. Anyhows we were presented with a vast array of stuff to provide our evening viewing. We tried a few and dismissed them. Finally Herself plumped for “The Crown”. We had seen it all before but with our memories in their current state it would be akin to watching it afresh.
It’s a very well done series charting the life of the royals from the fifties onwards. I know it’s fictionalised but I would imagine it’s close enough to the truth. The Queen is treated sensitively enough but Charles and Philip don’t come out of it too well – Philip with his Nazi connections and rakish carry on in his earlier years, while Charles frankly comes across as a spoiled little cunt.
We watched all four of the available series. We finished a couple of nights ago.
Then we see the events of yesterday.
I can’t help but feeling a little guilty. You have to admit that it’s a bit to much of a coincidence to be a coincidence? I finish watching “The Crown” and the Queen immediately pegs it? Of course I feel guilty and can only apologise to all my UK readers [and any other readers who held the Queen in esteem].
I am a little concerned about my next choice of viewing.
It’s a semi-fictionalised series charting the story at Chernobyl.
A disastrous explosion in a Ukrainian nuclear reactor…….
Can I give you list of people and ask that you watch their biographies?
What is the going rate for an assassin these days?
I don’t know if this has dawned on Charles as of yet, but I believe his new responsibilities are going to put a serious dent in his social life.
