There are parts of Dublin where that programme could still be made!
It reminds me of Paddy Crosbie’s “School Around the Corner” [long before your or anyone else’s time]. He used to encourage kids to tell stories on the radio. Probably the most famous was the young lad who witnessed a horse falling into a hole. “They had to shoot him” said the kid. “They shot the horse in the hole?” said Paddy. “No!” said the kid scornfully, “they shot him in the head”.
Thank you for that. It took a few goes but I understood it in the end.
Dialects and accents are wonderful. Long may they survive.
