Checkmate
I’m a bit tardy this afternoon.
It’s mainly down to a bug I have which leaves me flaked out. It’s nothing serious so it ain’t the WooHooFloo unless I have a remarkable constitution. It comes and goes where some days I’m grand and others are like today – shit on a griddle. However, it’s a great excuse to increase the dose of whiskey. Purely medicinal of course.
I’m certainly in better condition than poor old Phil across the water.
I liked him. He had a sense of flair and a complete disregard for political correctness. I also felt very sorry for him. Imagine being married to a woman where you can never win an argument? Whatever he said, she could trump it with “but I’m the Queen”. Poor bastard.
I shall raise a medicinal toast to him tonight.
Arguments. But it might have been completely different in private.
Like wives of Muslims and other apparently male dominated societies.
I can't believe that he did not speak his mind about his children and grand children.
I'll miss him.
By all accounts he was a force to be reckoned with. I can imagine he had a lot to say about Diana and Camilla?!
He was said to be the only one who could treat the Queen like a normal person.
She is going to be lost without him. I actually feel for her.
This was his best line!
