I was browsing around the Interwebs last night [as one does].

I came across a post by Longrider.

My reaction was to sigh and mourn for the good old days. I’m not saying that everything that was taught was pure fact [thinking of religion and history] but generally politics was kept out of things and political correctness consisted of not using a few select words.

.But then I came across another article.

The madness is getting too fucking close for comfort!

A Co Wicklow primary school is introducing a new gender neutral school uniform policy which will allow boys to wear skirts or girls to wear trousers from next September.

Primary schools here cater for kids from around five years of age up to around eleven or twelve. In other words, they are children, not mini-adults or even teenagers but children. What the fuck are they doing worrying about gender identity?

I vaguely remember my Primary days. What I do remember was a time of innocence where the word sex or gender was rarely mentioned. I knew what females were because I had a mother and a sister, but apart from having the notion that they were different and somehow responsible for babies I wasn’t particularly interested. The notion that someone might be male but fee like a female would have been a joke. Sex was gender and that was that.

Now I have nothing against anyone who gets caught up in all this gender stuff, and people can have as many operations as they like, or wear whatever they like provided they are adult enough to know what they are at.

Just for God’s sake let children be children and stop filling their heads full of shite.
