Doubling up the yellow — 3 Comments

  1. Thankfully the “city” council in my little “city” (town actually although they call it a city) only renews the painted lines and such once a year and always in the same place. They know damn well that if they change these lines people will just drive/park the same place they always have anyway and since the courts are backed up until sometime next century, issuing tickets wouldn’t amount to a piss hole in the snow.

By the way, I had to disable javascript in order to write this comment (got rid of of the buttons). With javascript enabled, and thus all the buttons showing up, I couldn’t get a cursor in the comment field at all let alone type in it. A couple of times when I was clicking around the buttons and in the comment field (which didn’t work–javascipt enabled) I was suddenly sent back to a random post on HR (no, I’m not kidding). This actually happened twice (different random post though) although I couldn’t figure out why it was happening.

    Just letting you know.

    • Our lot seem to be under the impression we like variety.  Every time they come out we get new lines and little “traffic islands” of white paint that everyone ignores.  The previous time, they painted one of those islands in such a place that it would cause some nasty swerving on a steep hill.  Daft.  At least that has worn away from everyone driving straight across it.

As you may notice, I’m working on those damned buttons. I know they aren’t strictly necessary, but I refuse to be beaten!  They work now on replies to comments only, but not on a first comment.  Trying to find why the hell not.  They are supposed to be 4.8 compatible.
