Procrastinapathy
The grass needs cutting.
The grass verge on the road needs strimming.
The front drive needs weeding.
Some plants need repotting.
The sewer needs rodding.
My laptop’s keyboard needs cleaning.
A book needs to be edited.
The front gate needs fixing.
A couple of hedges need cutting.
I think tomorrow might be a good day to start?
Yes.
Tomorrow.
Time for a mug of tea and a drop of a doze now…….
+ The dog needs to take me for a walk.
She knows where the gate is.
You don’t want to rush these things. Got to leave something to not do tomorrow.
Never do today that which can be put off to tomorrow.
That’s my motto.
Mentally swap the word ‘need’ for ‘would like’ and all of a sudden you’re the boss again. You can tell the grass where to go and you’ll get round to it when it suits you 🙂
Nah! “Would like” implies some sort of pleasure. “Really should” is possibly a bit better?
Thanks to all your advice, I have decided that procrastinapathy shall remain.
I’ll do those jobs tomorrow.
Ha, that was a decidedly decisive non-procrastinapathetic decision, or something like that 🙂
