Dancing in the streets
I see our Minister for Hardship, Noonan is all delighted with himself.
Ireland has got an extra seven years to pay off its debts.
He reckons this is great news. It means that Brussels will be happy. It means that Moodys will be happy. Presumably it means Standard and Poors will be happy?
But I think he is asking the wrong people.
Maybe he should ask the families of the thousands who have committed suicide since the crash? I wonder if they are happy?
I wonder if there is any rejoicing in the households that have lost sons, daughters and grandchildren to emigration? They must be ecstatic?
How about the people who are trying to pay mortgages many times the value of their homes? Over the moon, I’d say.
Of course the hundreds of thousands of unemployed are dancing in the streets.
But of course, none of them matters.
Just so long as the Euro is safe.
Easter Sunday 2016 at The GPO a Centenary Performance and there'll be fucking be dancing in the streets too!
Who's coming?
Make the call nearer the time. I'll be there even though I am Anglicised (3rd generation) Irish. I may carry a UKIP banner though!
All welcome. The more the merrier.
Bring own bird, booze and ammunition.
Piano wire will be supplied.
Centenary ?
100 years since 1916 tt.. 'Easter rising'.
The only centenary commemorations there'll be will be in the pub.
OK I missed the "2016" in Slab's comment. A bit bleary eyed this morning.
Ya' can't blame this one on us.
That'll make a change.
Well said.
