Is this a day for the history books?

Will this mark the beginning or the end of America’s greatness?

Naturally I had been following the American elections and the little milestones that cropped up. There was the moment that God himself intervened personally to deflect the assassin’s bullet, and who can forget Sleepy Joe having a total mental wipe-out in the middle of a debate? Sadly, elections this side of The Pond are dull as dishwater by comparison.

There has only been a very brief mention [so far] on the gathering of two mobs in Washington. One mob is there to cheer on Trump’s inauguration while the other mob want Trump out of office before he’s even in. Haven’t the latter mob not heard of democracy? Like it or hate it, Trump was voted in as being the will of the people.

So are we going to see millions of immigrants shipped over the border to Mexico? Are the Mexicans going to be pleased with the huge influx that isn’t uniquely Mexican? Are the cats and dogs of Springfield off the menu and safe once more?

Are we going to see a Putin-style invasion of Greenland? Is the US about to occupy the Panama Canal? And is Trump going to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America? He is really pissed off with Mexico for some reason?

At least he can’t touch Ireland with his [proposed] sanctions.

He knows we would dig up his golf course in Clare in revenge.
