Round-up
Yet another hospital appointment.
People must think I’m sick or something.
This one was for a CT scan. Seeing as they wanted a full scan from head to hip I would surmise that they are looking for any possible naughty bits of tumor that may have escaped past the immunotherapy barrage. The mandatory wait wasn’t too bad at a mere three and a half hours. I can’t complain.
So of course I was out all day. I got home to find a stack of crates blocking the front door. That was fine. I had forgotten we were due a delivery after lunch. He had come and gone. Groceries for the week.
The cheering news was that in the election the Greens have been royally fucked by the electorate – only one seat left [they had ten or eleven which they used to prop up the coalition]. Also Egghead Donnelly our erstwhile Minister for Health lost his seat. He started as an independent some years ago, then went on to help form the Social Democrats before finally jumping ship to join Fianna Fáil. Ireland doesn’t look kindly on traitors.
The bad news is that, as I predicted, it looks like we are stuck with the same old gubmint that we have had in one shape or another for the last hundred years. The only good thing is that they haven’t got those fucking Greens to support them.
I wonder if there is any chance of getting all those Green fuel taxes rebated?
