And so life continues.

The window/insulation people still haven’t surfaced. I must give them yet another shout.

Still no word as to what’s happening with my “smart” meter for the leccy. I have a feeling I won’t hear from them again.

The dog continues to flood the house, but has now developed the squits. Cleaning them up is a hell of a lot messier than her usual donations. Walking around the house is becoming very tricky and I have to mind every step.

Now the central heating is playing silly buggers. It’s starting and stopping for no apparent reason. Having done all the usual fixes like pressing the restart button, switching the whole shebang off and on again I couldn’t find any reason for its irrational behavior.

I decided to take a break and make a fresh mug of tea.

Then I discovered that the mains water supply is gone. Fuck! That’s probably the cause of my temperamental boiler?

I just got a text from a frustrated neighbour. Apparently the water thing is a local problem just affecting some houses but not others. The water supply mob haven’t a clue what’s wrong which doesn’t surprise me in the least. What’s the betting they’ll rip up the new lane surface?

So here I am waiting for Irish Water to find the leak [or the blockage] before I delve back into the intricacies of the boiler again.

Or maybe I’ll just go down for a coffee……..
