The End of the World
Yesterday the world ended.
Yes, Farcebook and Intergram and a few other places went belly-up leaving millions without any instructions on how to live their lives. A tragedy!
Today it seems to be my turn. I have had a very busy day [I’m just back from bringing Penny to the vet] and now I find this here site is in trouble.
It’s very fucking slow.
Or rather it’s slow as far as I am concerned but maybe it’s blisteringly fast in other parts of the planet. The Interweb is a weird place like that.
Anyhows, if it doesn’t fix itself soon I’ll have to give the boiler man a shout. My suspicion is that the steam pressure in the boiler has dropped and it just needs a couple more shovels of coal slung on the fire.
Seems fast enough to me, but then ‘Fast’ is a somewhat relative term.
Regarding Facebook, this could be tragic! How the hell am I supposed to know what Joe had for breakfast this morning, or more importantly, just who is doing what to who under what bridge?
I found the fault – a leaking gasket in a low pressure steam pipe in the reverser assembly.
It wouldn’t surprise me if a few jumped off that bridge, thinking there was no further point in life without Farcebook….
Regarding the leaking gasket, where the hell was that fella who was supposed to be tending to the boiler? Maybe you should search the basement and see if he has a stash of Guiness down there.
