Why?
A couple of kids throw soup at a painting?
Why?
Is it supposed to inspire us all to suddenly stop using oil, or petrol, or diesel or whatever?
How?
The only conclusion I can come to on that one is that it was a sponsored escapade. Certainly I didn’t see a single mention of the incident that didn’t mention the brand name of the soup.
They then glued themselves to the wall.
Why?
I cannot think of a single logical explanation for this apart from the hope of some publicity. That’s a bit daft as most vandals don’t want to be caught unless they’re a bit soft in the head.
So the police arrive and unglue the pair and bring them to court [and why bother with a court when they are obviously guilty].
Why?
This is the biggest mystery of all. Why didn’t they leave them there? the gallery should have opened them up as a new visitor attraction – “Two Idiots Under a Vandalised Painting”. They could put a small sign in front – “Do not feed or water”. I imagine quite a few would pay to see that.
Come to think of it, why do they unglue the idiots who stick themselves to trains and roads?
Let the trains roll.
Let the traffic flow.
Idiots will soon get the hint.
Can you imagine the advert, “Ah, ……….soup. The best thing you can do with it, is throw it at the wall.”
I can see some soup makers lawyers going hunting.
“Sunflowers with a drizzle of tomato – delicious!”
I agree with you GD, leave them stuck to the wall, they’ll soon get hungry when they’ve run out of soup to lick!
Hummm… good idea. Just need to have a notice visible on entry (as in a car park) that says that any gluing brings a $500 release fee and public mocking.
Or just have the plod give them the same good kicking that they gave lock-down protesters 🙂
I don’t understand why they don’t get a kicking now. I can’t see many having any sympathy for them.
