I was going to scribble about tattoos today.
But frankly I couldn’t think of much to say about the subject.
I was going to scribble about minimum pricing of alcohol which came into force here yesterday.
But everything that needs to be said about that has already been said.
I was going to scribble about our “health service” and their demand for a total ban on tobacco and a reduction of the number of premises that can sell them [there is surely a slight paradox there?].
But apart from having a snigger at their lack of logic I am rather tired of banging on about smoking.
I went down to the village earlier. It occurred to me that I might find something interesting to scribble about down there but it was a remarkably uneventful trip. I dropped into the chemist for a chat with the pharmacist and then wandered up to the coffee shop.
What can I say about that? Well, it was cold. Yes, winter has arrived and temperatures are in the low single figures so I was well wrapped up but I still froze. But Penny got her chicken and was admired by a couple at the next table who couldn’t believe how quiet she is. They tried talking to her but she ignored them. I explained that she has gone deaf. Either that or else she has learned to ignore everyone [especially me]. I can’t decide which.
Anyways I went home having had a trip that was utterly unexciting and rather bland.
So you see my problem about finding subjects?
I don’t think I’ll bother posting anything today..
