The Vaccine Wars — 8 Comments

  1. Being half Irish/English but born and live and lived in England all my life maybe i had some romantic memories and thoughts about the old family back home in Co.Clare.

See the English are a bit, no quite a lot, odd, and it is no surprise to see the majority of them still wearing muzzles, and not a surprise when you can feel their eyes boring holes in you, me, for daring to not wear one of these signs of submission like some weird badge of honour.
But i could not for one moment imagine my old family, my long dead uncles and aunt my grandmother my cousins or any one of them having the slightest truck with the lunacy of the last 18 months.

That they’ve got to and brainwashed the decent souls in deepest west Ireland is troubling me far more than the English, too many of whom don’t seem to have a clue how to live unless some apparatchik or social whatever tells them how to and wipes their arse for them at the same time.

Something tells me that anyone trying to pick on my uncle James for not taking some medical treatment or other would join the list of people staggering away nursing a bleeding swollen nose.
James was by no means an unusual man, surely there’s hundreds of thousands of James’s still kicking about there who’ll tell these shysters what they can do with their poison, or set the dog on them if they dare call at the farm.

    • It actually frightens me how easily people have been led like lambs to the slaughter. It goes back a long way before the Virus though. Over the decades I have noticed ever increasing laws and restrictions. There are signs everywhere telling us what we can or cannot do, usually with mentions of penalties if we fail to comply. There has been a gradual erosion of personal responsibility to the point where people are just waiting to be told what to do.

They do regular opinion surveys here and I have been following the results. One that stood out for me was that 47% of respondents said they would continue to wear face coverings post pandemic. If true, I find that unutterably sad.

      • It saddens me, rather than frightens me. It’s the accumulation since WWII, as progressively the ‘state’ has been taking responsibility for more and more aspects of life, from health and education, health & safety, to plain nannying. It has bred a population which always looks first to the ‘state’ for solutions to any problem, rather than thinking it through themselves. Without thinking, they have sacrificed the power to think, and with it the power of independence and freedom. That’s sad.

        • It’s more than sad – it’s downright frightening. Since the average politico and/or civil serpent is palpably unable to organise the proverbial festivities in a brewery, what sort of idiot would entrust them with anything of value or importance?

And can anyone identify any successful state-run enterprise – other than the usual ineffective money-pits?

Gubmint – both national and local – and civil serpentry are nothing more than occupational therapy for the otherwise unemployable.

          • All true, yet so many of the population still seem willing to abdicate great swathes of their personal responsibilities to those very incompetents. You and I may agree, but sadly the minority which includes us is shrinking daily.

  2. The illogicality of it all makes me wonder what these jabs really do, if it’s not about preventing infection from SARS-CoV-2. There are now many doctors and microbiologists warning about long-term immune system damage from them. The next 2 – 3 years should hopefully prove them wrong, as if they’re correct the prospects are horrific.
