Tobacco Tactics
Dear Tobacco Tactics,
First of all I would like to congratulate you on your new web site. I used to find your old Wiki site rather difficult to navigate and I am delighted you have managed to retain that feature on the new one albeit with lovely big headings.
I would however point out that technically speaking the site is a bit slow. I appreciate that you spent £20 million on it [and worth every penny, even though it uses WordPress which is free]. However I know I could improve the site’s speed for you if you like? I know a little bit about WordPress sites and would only charge you another £20 million.
I confess there are a couple of things that puzzle me. Your strapline states [and I quote] “The essential source for rigorous research on the tobacco industry” yet I find some strange errors on the site. I hear that some of the links you have lead to sites which are in fact nothing whatsoever to do with the Tobacco Industry and are merely evil Libertarians. Did you research those links? Rigorously? [I can throw in research of links as part of my £20 million overhaul if you like? No extra cost. I’m not greedy].
Also I dropped by your page on Ireland [a place close to my heart] and discovered that the first link is to a Benelux web site. What the fuck? Was this intentional? Do you know something that I should be aware of? Is an invasion of Ireland imminent or is it just that we are all lumped together in the EU?
My real purpose in writing though is to point out a grave error and a serious omission. Once again you have failed to mention my humble little sites [links below]. I consider this to be somewhat of an insult, considering the time and effort I have put into writing about the pleasures of smoking.
Could you please rectify this?
Thanks.

[and as a special bonus]
Please note: Sadly I’m not paid by the tobacco Industry and have to rely on my pension for finance. Would you like to sponsor me? GD

I actually hate these abbreviations, but in this case: LOOOOOL!
So that site is not satire?
What is the inverse of Poe's Law?
They say they're part financed by CRUK and Bloomberg Philanthropy. They both have deep pockets, however after spending over $500 million in an utterly futile attempt to unseat Donnie, it's nice to see total waste of money on this pathetic effort by Bath Uni.
They still list Freedom 2 Chose, that went virtually dormant several years ago. Actually after Captain Ranty gave up on his so called colleagues.
Oh and it is not tablet friendly; can someone try it on their smartphone?
"it is not tablet friendly" I can fix that too [for another £20 million].
Glad to see I still get a mention there!
