Helping ASH
Hello everybuddy.
My name is Pneny and I wood like to tell you my storie.
A long long time ago last year I had nowear to live and I had to sleep on the streets and the feelds and I had to steel food and I was very very sick. I thaut I was going to die but Remi and Helena found me and they braut me to their house called ASH.
They gave me lots of food and they made me better and they looked after me very very well. They are luvly luvly peeple.
Then Granddad kame and he gave me a luvly place to live and I have been very very happy since becuz Granddad is a luvly luvly man and he feeds me and he tikels me and he gives me lots of cuddels.
But I am very very worried.
My frends Remi and Helena are running out of muney and they have no muney to by food or to pay the nice man who gave me medisins to make me better. They rote this –

**URGENT APPEAL** Please!!! We really need your help!! With the massive influx of animals, particularly over the past 6 months, we are seriously struggling to keep our heads above water let alone to keep up with our ever increasing vet bills. We've now reached crisis stage with our vet bills in particular and it's very much taking it's toll on all of us! We honestly need you and rarely put out such a plea for help but we've no choice right now. We're hoping that our friends and supporters might donate 5 euro each to get us through this – we need anything you can donate asap! We're also asking that you might share with your friends who might help with fundraising efforts now more than ever. We will be running an official fundraising collection out on the streets towards the end of August in Dublin City (and would love to hear from volunteers to help us out there too – more later on that). GD, if you can contact them and get them to have a Paypal donate button put on their page then I will ask for donations on Facebook and see if we can get some support from the mainland. It is much easier to get people to donate with a simple website button than it is for them to have to get credit cards out. I'm talking about 1 off donations here rather than standing orders. All of our animal 'rescue centres' around here are ultimately run by the RSPCA and I would not contemplate donating to such a vile organization. They ended up putting down the dog I tried to home because no one except me wanted him. I was not allowed to take him because the front of my home is open plan and has no side gate, despite the fact that I have owned dogs all my life and none of them have ever been allowed through the door without a lead and responsible adult. I will neither forgive or forget the RSPCA and will do all I can to put people off donating to them.
Agree about a Paypal button and also about the RSPCA, who seem more interested in paying their own salaries than doing the job they were set up for and have charitable status for.
Net €50 sent, shame I can't donate the tax as well 'cos I'm a non-dom.
Totally agree about RSPCA, will never donate to them. As an OAP, don't have much, but have sent them 22 of your strange foreign money to help out. Give Pneny a cuddle and bone from us in the UK.

A HUGE thanks to everyone who has donated!
Remi and Helena are well known for their rescue centre. They run almost entirely on voluntary donations and charity events and I can assure you that every cent goes to the animal's welfare. They have a "no kill" policy so if an animal cannot be rehomed they will keep that animal themselves. As a result their living quarters have about a dozen dogs, God knows how many cats and a fox wandering around, and that doesn't count the animals housed outside!
When they receive an animal, it is nursed back to health, vaccinated and spayed/neutered, and they then make sure they visit every home before an animal is handed out. They really take brilliant care of the animals.
I have contacted them about a PayPal account but it may take a while for a response as they are usually rushed off their feet, despite a large army of volunteers.

A bit chubby? More rotund than chubby. I'm doing my best to starve her and give her more exercise but Herself keeps feeding her titbits.
My Dearest Penny,
I am a cat named Captain Willy. Unlike you I know how to type. My human tried to send off 10 bucks to ASH animal rescue but they only accept yoyo's. I am afraid that he had to abide by these ridiculous rules and in fact he did donate 10 yoyo's so I am afraid they don't get real currency but instead this monopoly money they insist on receiving. All of this is very tiring. I'm off to take another nap.

So what's so wrong with cats? I love dogs – never forgave my father for having the love of my life put down when I was six – but her indoors is terribly afraid of them after being bitten once. I, too, was bitten by of all things a poodle, and nearly shot it with an arrow, but I would still like to have a faithful companion one day. Cats are good for the soul – remember that they think you are their servants, whilst dogs think you are their masters.
