No safe level of health — 12 Comments

  1. It’ll soon not be safe to eat or drink anything.

What a load of b**shit ! I remember the time when eggs were supposed to be bad for you.

The world has definitely gone completely bonkers – especially the world according to the WHO/Brussels/The EU/ National Substance Misuse Strategy Steering Group/Roger Rabbit and whatever you’re having yourself.

  2. First they came for the communists,
    and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
    and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
    and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.
    Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

  3. I’m afraid to breath, in case its bad for me. The Idiots in Europe will get to this one yet.

“No, sorry no breathing, its rationed today. Its bad for you don’t you know. All that oxidising oxygen, pollution, green house gasses and radiation from Japan and Russia. Anyway, have you paid your CO2 breathing tax?”

I wonder if its possible for Photosynthesis in Humans.

  4. Mossy – Soya and Tofu are the food of the future.  And maybe some birdseed?

Brianf – That is a great truism.  I think people are beginning to awaken to the lies, deceit and ultimately the naked profiteering from all this “caring government” shite.

Slab – No kidding – saw an article today [from ASH, of course] declaring that breath from people who had smoked recently could be lethal.  How far can one stretch farce?

TT – And not a word for me?  Oh sorry.  They came for me some time ago, didn’t they?

  5. Humans produce carbon dioxide which has been declared to be the cause of global warming, global cooling, climate change, depletion of the ozone layer, destroys  the habitat of endangered animals, and kills cute internet kittens. You are all ordered to immediately stop breathing. Special interest groups, defined as people who voted for those currently in charge, will be able to purchase credits to breathe. Should the government change hands in the next election people who purchased breathing credits from the outgoing administration will be declared to be criminals. You may also trade breathing credits by preventing others from breathing there by getting their allotment preferably from those who purchased breathing allotments from the previous administration.

I am suddenly scared that the above seems plausible.

  6. Same old. Shouldn’t we just focus on dissing obviously idiotic ideas (like the car breathalyser and 30km/h limit) and applauding the obviously good ones (like smoking ban)? 🙂

  7. Some wise guy once said: “You are born to die”. In that case…

Birth causes death so giving birth should no longer be allowed or at least not allowed before 9:00 AM. Following that particular line of thinking it is quite apparent that the mere act of “living” will eventually cause death so it is thus concluded that living should indeed not take place. This is in the best interest of all concerned. A committee will be formed to discuss a possible “grandfather clause” for those who are currently living so they may continue to do so without fear of reprisal from local authorities. If this “grandfather clause” is indeed passed and put into law, those currently living will not be allowed to give birth before 9:00 AM.

Also, there is no safe level of Head Rambles.

  8. My great-grandmother had bacon, grits (coarsely ground corn), fried eggs, and some sort of sausage for breakfast every morning and she lived to be 95!  And, she put lard in everything!  It’s the effing preservatives that they are putting into everything that is killing us, not the food itself.

  9. I once read an interesting book about a ruling class that regularly changed its adversaries. The book was written by an author from the United Kingdom. The book was called “1984”.

  10. I like the statement made in an article I just read. “There’s no safe level in any statement that includes ‘no safe level’.” There needs to be a 7 word seperation b/n “no safe” & “level” I don’t smoke, but I’m still irked by restauraunts, & bars going out of business because the ones who wanted to smoke were driven out. If smokers were keeping nonsmoking cliente’l out, why didn’t they rush in to fill the void? Since when is a bar customer so concerned about their long term health to care about 2nd hand smoke?

  11. Welcome Roger!  Unlike The Righteous and their hatred of smokers I have absolutely nothing against non-smokers.  I see no harm in letting pubs, cafes and the like deciding for themselves whether they are smoke free or not. There is a place for both, so let the market decide.
