  1. “How is it that even the youngest children seem to be able to speak in a completely foreign language ?”

Because they know no better ?

  2. Its also the Education System. When the fuck will we ever get it right here. In Finland, leaning English in all schools is compulsory. Impressive, when you visit any shop or business, they all speak English.

  3. I know what you mean. i went to spain nearly 30 years and even there the littlest childamigos were able to speak spanish fluently.
would it be something in the water, or what…?

  4. I noticed that myself when I was out and about around Europe in my younger years. All the wee ones going about speaking other languages like they didn’t know any better. I agree with Captain Haddock. It’s because no one told them they couldn’t

  5. The little buggers can Ski too. There was me on the learner slopes a few yarons ago in Santaland thinking I was fuckin’ cool, those lessons in Kilternan paid off, when the little dwarfs came azooming around and past me like rockets. I did’nt feel so cool then.

  6. I am pleased to see your weather forecast has improved for next week GD. It’s a perfect day here. 79F, no humidity, slight breeze and not a cloud in the sky. It’s good to be alive!

  7. Bloody hell!!  It took me the best part of half an hour to get this fucking page to load.  Is it any wonder I am staying well away from the Interweb?

What pisses me off about French kids is that I try and speak their language and I have problems, though I can get by reasonably well [provided that everything I say only involves the present tense, and no numbers] whereas the kids have no problem.  Little bastards.

TT – We had the tail end of one of your fucking hurricanes pass over us this morning.  Will you please stop sending that type of shit over here?

Must have been what was left of Irene dropping by to pay her respects. Talk about endurance, that girl definitely had more than most.
