  1. I dunno…there was sure something missing in my day today…then I realized…Where’s Grandad? Then I remembered and wandered over here anyway to see what was going on…k, I admit it…I have no life ๐Ÿ™‚ No really, whether you want to own up to it or not you are a part of people’s lives and are missed and worried about when you’re gone. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Hay Grandad, Good to see you back. Sorry to hear of your loss. During the firefox party last night a few people asked about you.

Your more popular than you think !

  4. I’m a little behind in my reading, so I’m only catching up now. I am very sorry to hear about your friend, Grandad. My condolences.

  5. Thank you so much to everyone. It wasn’t easy.

I’m getting back to my normal style of irreverence now – not out of any disrespect, but because she had a highly irreverent sense of humour. She would prefer it this way! ๐Ÿ™‚

Prin – You really do need to get a life. Have you thought about reading the labels on tins?

Darragh – Don’t exaggerate. So one person mentioned something about a lack of pipe-smoke?

  6. Sorry again Grandad to hear of this. Fourth person in the same week to tell me this type of bad news. One of them was particularly tragic, but I do not want to refer to it publicly.

But life is for living and it is good to remember people as they would like to be remembered. So if it is irreverance you want, I have a “cork”er (the start of the rot) lined up for the next article!

  7. May your memories comfort you in this time of loss Grandad. {{{Hugs}}} from America.

  8. Longman, Jim and Olga – I have been somewhat humbled by the response to this post and the last one. I honestly didn’t expect any comments. I’m a bit overwhelmed!

  9. Aw, darn.. sorry Grandad. I know that’s life and it goes on and all of that stuff, but I’m still sorry to hear of the grief and turmoil and sadness. Been there, done that. Hang in.

  10. Grandad,
Sorry for your loss. It sounds as if you have enjoyed your friend the way it should be: sharing, caring, laughing, crying, and most importantly loving. Your friend is always with you in your heart and soul. My prayers are with you. John O

  11. A Chara Grandad,

sorry to hear… the finest compliment that can be given is to say that they didn’t simply pass through life… you and your friend are in my thoughts and my prayers.
