  1. I have never formed a prejudice in my life ask tt, he’ll confirm it.
Mind you I hate all things E fucking U, shirtlifters, brownhatters, homosexuals, uphill shit shovellers and poofters. to name but a few.

  2. When I first heard of the EU many years ago I thought it sounded like a good idea.  The United States of Europe.  I figured you guys had gotten it right.  A small federal government to aid in economic and military co-operation between the states.  I never envisioned it as this massive bureaucracy that stomps on individual liberty and taxes the people into submission.  I really feel sorry for you that are burdened with this failed experiment from Brussels.

  3. Patrick – I’ll have you know I hate tolerance and bigotry.

Brianf – The original idea was fine.  We just signed up to a trading partnership.  It would be like the US signing up to a Pacific Trade Agreement, only for you to find that down the line you are being ruled from Beijing and there is fuck all you can do about it.

  4. Iv said it many times in future years the enslaved of the EU will look back and wonder how did we this generation let this happen. The EU are just getting started on their enslavement for now its takeover by stealth with the full cooperation of all these criminal politicians. They already have laws in place to make it an offense to critics the EU. There is also a clause to allow the death penalty. O course they are not using any of these laws now but believe me they will.
So the brainwashing of children is just part of the policies of the Forth Reich. But how long we we be able to speak out. notice all these laws now about censorship of the internet.
EU Death penalty…….riots and upheaval why would it be added if they did not intend to use it?
And this is not in the treaty, but in a footnote, because with the European Union reform treaty, we accept also the European Union Charter, which says that there is no death penalty, and then it also has a footnote, which says, “except in the case of war, riots, upheaval” – then the death penalty is possible.

  5. “The jews are the ones that won’t be blamed for nothing.” Jack the lad.    Or something like that.

  6. I am also a type of Irish granddad! Hiberno-English, you might say, living in Co. Galway since 1990.
Captain Peacock, do you have a link to that death penalty sub-clause? Very interesting. For various reasons, I support use of the death penalty for cold-blooded, premeditated murder, one individual against another, less so for killing committed, say, during a revolution, for the purposes of the revolution.
It’s a mistake to brand the whole ‘European idea’ as crap. For example, it is probably for the good that both Germany and Poland are members, and that the Balkans are brought in. Russia will, of course, never join, and will intuitively make her own union, where she can.
However, the destruction of national identities, caused by the current EU, runs contrary to human nature and is false. An individual can only correlate his self with a tribe. So, apathy in the face of the continually spreading EU bureaucracy stems from incomprehension. No one understands what that aspect of the Union is. It cannot be visualised.
America is quite different, certainly historically. Americans identify with their country first, their state second. America’s evolution was unique to itself, and fairly bloody. The EU is bloodless (literally!).
It, the EU, represents the rise of publicly funded authority to supreme heights, but in areas of ever-increasing detail – all of this dependent on the taxpayer’s ability to pay for it. Unsurprisingly, it is unaffordable. It is indeed like the Titanic, but as a ship to the essentially sound structure of which are added layers and layers of extra decks, which it cannot support. So, the smiling lady in the video is living in a dream, a dream if fantastic institutions with special names. The ship, thus layered, will only stay afloat if other ships are brought alongside, to bear the strain. Soon, wealth will be generated specifically to support this multi-hulled behemoth. People will be ordered into wealth creating jobs. Trade will occur with other blocs. All profit will go to the structure, the people enfeebled and poor (but of course healthy and well-fed, and neatly housed). Thus is the nightmare. Anyone with ambition, and a desire for freedom, can only look to the higher reaches of the structure for fulfilment – or, get out completely.
So, one must hope that the British will lead the way to the destruction of the EU in its current form; though there is also the happy prospect of it destroying itself, the Euro unsupportable, without yet deeper ‘integration’ – so, it may be the Greeks, say, unable, as individuals, to endure the cost of this, who will blow open the seacocks.

  7. Welcome William!  I have ranted on this topic a few times in the past.  I have always maintained that the EEC was a great idea, and I enthusiastically voted for it back in the 70s.  It’s this creeping Euro-state that really scares me.  As you say – it cannot work in its current form and will require much deeper integration.  While I dread the collapse as it will presumably cause chaos, the long term benefits would make it worth while.

  8. Quite concur! How do you make paragraphs here? Is it [code]<p>then[code]?</p>  <p>If so, I should have made three so far.</p>

  9. Don’t worry – I get damned confused with some of these forms and I have been at it for a while!

Hitting Enter should give you a new paragraph like this.
Or Shift + Enter for just a new line, like this.

  10. Noted! I pasted from Notepad – probably a mistake.

This should be in a new para. If not, I won’t clog up this thread with more experiments!

    This too (but double spaced).
    But, not this.

Have a nice evening – we’ll get back to destroying the EU again, no doubt.

  11. Heh!  If you think Notepad is bad, you should try pasting from Word.

NO!  On second thoughts, DON’T.  It would probably screw up the entire site.

    Damned Microsoft!
