Vows are made to be broken — 8 Comments

  1. Heh!  With their Nanny State toxic laws they try to make every day a no smoking day, yet they still feel compelled to set another one aside for an extra special purge?

We had ours in February.  I felt quite dizzy after it.  It’s not easy celebrating by smoking five whole packs of baccy in one day.

  2. That’s a southern accent you sent off. Good job! Now if they say Warder for Water and AT’lantic then they’re from around here. If they say things like “where are we at?” or use ‘wiff’ instead of with then you know there from around here. Go to this link and click on CoalSpeak. http://www.coalregion.com/

  3. The accent wasn’t at all like yours, Brianf.  It was a very irritating one, but not half as irritating as its speaker.

I didn’t know you lived in a coal hole?  You’d get on well with Herself.

  4. Must have missed them when they were in Wales – I’d have suggested they do Fishguard – Rosslare, so you wouldn’t miss out on the experience. Nice one Grandad – hope you’re enjoying retirement. Cardi

  5. You were spot on the mark yesterday.  I slept like a log last night [I didn’t know logs slept?] for twelve hours.  Unfortunately they weren’t wearing sunglasses or visors, as they had beady, wrinkly eyes.  Terrifying stuff.
