  1. Congrats on the win even if it was only a Spider.

I took a little snip from the JackandJill site which needs highlighting.

“All Dublin bus tickets with unclaimed change on them can be sent to us, with all proceeds split between Jack & Jill and Temple Street Hospital.*

I’m sure that there are plenty of cards and stamps around at this time of year .

  2. Huh! ‘Go mug a granny’

I hope you don’t mean Herself OR me!

I hope you have a good response for a very good cause.

  3. Thanks, Rahood!

I spoke to them about taking cards and stamps, but they don’t/can’t/won’t. I think the stamps are more or less cornered by the Guide Dogs for the Blind.

    Grannymar – I’m always thinking of you…!

  4. Oh, Grandad, I could go on and on about our State and our Caregivers, because I am one; my other blog is at carersgroup.blogspot.com (my pop-up comments turned off after reading your point about ‘usability’, btw…).

It’s hard to believe we live in a country cruel enough to say, “Yeah, we’ll take care of your kid, but only if you deprive him of parents”, when a parent’s love and care is the one thing that keeps these little kids going.

SO…I’m telling everyone that this Christmas, the only present I want is a donation to Jack & Jill. Cross your fingers for me (and them). Meanwhile, I’ll put links to them on my websites.

Thanks for reminding us of a great cause!

  5. Done and done!

As if the current cancer screening farce isn’t enough to make you ashamed of our health service!

Congrats on the book deal by the way.

That is a great Christmas present for me too, Susan! Thanks.

And thanks to you too, BA. You’re a star!

  7. That is very sad indded.

Are they the organization that send companies the bag thingy for old mobile phones?
