  1. I shouldn’t worry if I were you. You can always say that it’s not a bug. It’s a feature.

  2. “ALL MY WEBSITES COME WITH BUILT IN PETS”

    I like it.

I think I’ll call this one Fred.

  3. Don’t worry, the spiders will get it.

There’s a lot of spider talk going on. Is mammy hiding?

  4. Grandad,

That Fred sure has a lot of legs. I can see it now:

You keep Fred in a little white box.You and Sandy are going out and want to ask Fred along.

You knock on the lid of the box'”Hey,Fred, you want to go for a walk?”
    No answer.

    This time Sandy knocks .
    “Fred, want to go?”
    No answer

You are just ready to knock again when the lid flies off the box and Fred says,”I heard you the first time.I’m getting my shoes on.”

  5. Actually Grandad, on examining your code I think I’ve spotted the problem. In line 9 cloumn 10 you have an apostrophe in ‘Don’t’. This, by the looks of it is causing the compiler to fail….. Oh GOD!! What have I just said? Nerd!! No you’re right it’s the big black thing with legs thats running backwards and forwards across the screen.

  6. I’ll never get the hang of this stuff.

Is that fella not supposed to be there? I was getting quite fond of him.

  7. Looks like one of those interactive doodads they keep bugging teachers to include in instruction.

  8. Hey Grandad, I’ve just spotted that you’ve moved me Blog to your A-List. WOW, how privileged am I?

  9. Diane – You are right! It’s a Doodadus Interactivus. I just looked it up.

B3n – That was a mistake. I don’t know what those A-List blogs are. I don’t know what an A-List is. Something to do with people who appear in Hello Magazine? Have you ever been in Hello Magazine? And why does your name appear in italics sometimes?

  10. Nah, never in Hello but I did put an ad in Buy and Sell once. Dunno about the italics either.

  11. Since you’ve had both prayer and programming issues, I would recommend a chat with St. Expeditus, Patron Saint of programmers, emergencies, merchants and e-commerce (because he expedites payment); invoked against procrastination.

He was popular in New Orleans as a voodoo cult figure – didn’t seem too effective during Katrina, so I’d try someone else if your emergency has to do with water, storms or flooding.

St. Expeditus was chosen as patron of the town of Acireale in Sicily, so he should probably be in italics also.

  12. Thank you very much, Diane. I confess I had never heard of him and he seems to be the solution to all my problems.

I suppose you have no idea how much he charges?

I see he is also the patron saint of procrastination, which fortunately I don’t suffer from.

I’ll chat to him sometime next week [in italics, of course].
